Welcome to Furpi. By accessing or using the Furpi mobile application or website at furpi.app (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Furpi ("Furpi," "we," "our," or "us").
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Furpi. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. Furpi is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18.
Furpi is a discovery and connection platform that connects future pet parents with reputable breeders through a swipe-based matching experience. Furpi is a connection platform only — we do not facilitate transactions, guarantee the quality or health of any animal, or take responsibility for any agreements made between breeders and pet parents outside of the Platform.
To use Furpi, you must create an account. You agree to:
You may register as either a Pet Parent or a Breeder. You may not create accounts under false pretenses or misrepresent your identity or role.
Breeders can join Furpi and list pets for free. A free listing includes a public breeder profile, one active listing, the ability to appear in match queues and receive match notifications, and unlimited messaging with every family that matches with you, on every tier. Breeders only ever have access to families they are already connected to — through an accepted match or through their own litter waitlist. Breeders cannot browse, search, or contact other pet parents on Furpi.
Premium Breeder Membership is an optional paid tier that adds up to five concurrent listings, litter creation and litter-announcement broadcasts to your waitlist, priority placement in match queues, analytics, waitlist management, the share-card download, and the referral program, as described on the Premium page at furpi.app/subscription. Premium is billed on a recurring basis (monthly or every 6 months) at the rates specified at the time of purchase. All fees are in US dollars. Founding Breeder arrangements and other written agreements may include free or discounted Premium membership for a defined period or for life.
Gold Breeder Membership is our top tier and includes everything in Premium plus unlimited listings, top swipe-feed placement above Premium, 25% off Featured Litter Boosts, Skip-the-Line analytics, a revenue dashboard, and post-placement follow-up tools, as described at furpi.app/subscription.
In-app purchases made through the Furpi mobile apps are processed through RevenueCat, the Apple App Store, and the Google Play Store, and are subject to those platforms' billing terms in addition to these Terms. Web subscriptions are processed through Stripe.
By registering as a Breeder on Furpi, you represent and warrant that:
Membership fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at info@furpi.app within 14 days of the charge.
You may cancel or pause your Premium Breeder Membership at any time through your Account Settings in the Furpi app or by emailing info@furpi.app.
Cancellation. When you cancel:
Pause. As an alternative to cancellation, you may pause your Premium Breeder Membership from your Account Settings. When you pause, your Premium benefits stay active through the end of the current paid period. After that period ends, Premium benefits become unavailable until you resume, and no charges are taken while the membership is paused. Your account, profile, and message history remain intact while paused. You may resume at any time from the same screen, and billing restarts on resume.
To cancel, go to Account Settings → Membership → Cancel Membership. To pause, go to Account Settings → Membership → Pause Membership. You can also email info@furpi.app with the subject line "Membership Cancellation" or "Membership Pause" and your registered email address. We will confirm the change within 2 business days.
Furpi reserves the right to cancel or suspend a membership at any time for violations of these Terms or our Community Guidelines, with or without refund at our discretion.
Swiping, matching, and contacting breeders are free for every pet parent after completing the pet-parent application. No card is required for a free account.
Furpi Plus is an optional pet-parent subscription at $9.99 per month. New Furpi Plus subscriptions are currently paused while we finish building its features; we will announce the features before subscriptions reopen.
Cancellation. You may cancel Furpi Plus at any time from the Membership page at furpi.app/pet-parent/membership or by emailing info@furpi.app. When you cancel, your Furpi Plus benefits remain active through the end of the current paid period, after which your account reverts to the free tier. If you cancel by mistake, you can tap "Undo cancellation" on the Membership page any time before the end of the current paid period to resume automatic renewal. No partial refunds are issued for unused days remaining in a billing period.
Pause. As an alternative to cancellation, you may pause your Furpi Plus subscription from the Membership page. When you pause, your Furpi Plus benefits stay active through the end of the current paid period. After that period ends, Furpi Plus benefits become unavailable until you resume, and no charges are taken while the subscription is paused. Your account, matches, and message history remain intact while paused.
Reminders and price changes. We will send you a reminder of these terms once a year, and an advance notice before any price change takes effect, so you can decide whether to continue, pause, or cancel at the new price.
Refunds. Furpi Plus fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at info@furpi.app within 14 days of the charge.
Billing providers. In-app Furpi Plus purchases through the Furpi mobile apps are processed through RevenueCat, the Apple App Store, and the Google Play Store, and are subject to those platforms' billing terms in addition to these Terms. Web Furpi Plus subscriptions are processed through Stripe.
You agree not to:
Users may report violations of this section using the Report a Concern feature, which is available on every breeder profile and in the site footer. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team within 24 hours.
You retain ownership of content you submit to Furpi (photos, descriptions, messages). By submitting content, you grant Furpi a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and distribute your content in connection with operating and promoting the Platform.
All content submitted must be accurate, lawful, and not misleading. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines without notice.
Furpi facilitates introductions between pet parents and breeders. Any agreement, transaction, or arrangement made between users is solely between those users. Furpi is not a party to any such agreement and accepts no liability for the outcome of any connection made through the Platform. We strongly encourage all users to conduct due diligence, including verifying breeder credentials and meeting animals in person before any commitment is made.
Furpi reviews breeder-submitted health testing documentation as part of our verification process. OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) results are cross-referenced directly against publicly available OFA records. All other genetic and health testing credentials (including but not limited to Embark, Wisdom Panel, and similar tests) are document-reviewed by the Furpi team. While we make reasonable efforts to verify authenticity, Furpi cannot independently confirm the accuracy of all third-party test results and does not guarantee the completeness or validity of breeder-submitted documentation. Breeders are solely responsible for the accuracy of credentials they submit.
Furpi does not process payments between pet parents and breeders for the purchase of animals. Deposit amounts and terms are set directly between the breeder and the pet parent — Furpi does not process, hold, or participate in any transaction. Any payment made between a breeder and a pet parent is entirely outside of Furpi's Platform. Furpi is not responsible for any financial loss, fraud, or dispute arising from transactions conducted outside of the Platform.
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. FURPI DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES. FURPI DOES NOT ENDORSE OR GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY OF ANY BREEDER PROFILE, PET LISTING, OR USER-SUBMITTED CONTENT.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FURPI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM. FURPI'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO FURPI IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Furpi and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Platform, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or conduct we deem harmful to the Platform or its users. You may delete your account at any time through Account Settings.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or via email. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
